I watched Blog Tv today.
I would like to address certain issues.

Yes, we are irresponsible in what we write sometimes. We are but teenagers ar'nt we?
Mr Dinesh you put it to us that we should take resposibility for a privelege of owning a blog on how we should'nt slander teachers in any form. I agree with this statement completely. I now ask who was the hand that cause any teen to write about something so offensive. WE are not psychotic in any way. We do not write about teachers (or at least for me) who have not offended us. WE only write about teachers who have offended us. Clearly we Are upset?
Am i right to say this?

I now ask you Mr Dinesh, could there be a possibility that maybe just maybe you have offended a student. Yes, you are a teacher. How experienced are you really? I put it to you now that you might be one of the causes. I am sure there have been a few who has slandered you and yes they were wrong, but what ignighted this rage in them?
Have you thought about it?

I now put it to you Mr Dinesh, that you too have a part to play in treating your students right and im not saying for just only the ones you like. From what i've seen and heard i feel abit of biasness in the way you treat your students. I don't blame you for that, we have our moments too. However there is a fine line to that.
You are a teacher and you should respect not only what you say to your "favouriote" students but to all as well.
I have heard many complains from The Sec 3 councillors on how they have been treated. I am sure that they can't be lying because i have heard these complains repeating from many other students. Im being frank here, you are not very liked in the school as well.

Ever questioned yourself why?
If you say because maybe they don't like the way you discipline etc etc.
Then i put it to you now,
We do not like how Mr Felix disciplines us or any teacher infact be it The tyran of The school, Ms joyce Lee or the demanding one, MS wong but they are still highly respected by my peers.

I now put it to you that you are not looking at yourself and what can be improved but pushing the blame on us. It Takes two hands to clap.

Mr Siva has said somethings that i for one agree with.A Blog is a form of connecting with people. If they are Online journals we should be given freedom of speech.
So now i put it to you, My sister, for example, has encoded a password for her blog so that only the ones who have it can read it then how come a teacher-im not sure who- can enter her blog. Is'nt that called hacking or invading of One's space. There is a password there and clearly she does'nt want anyone seeing it except her close peers. If a teacher can do this what example does it show to his students.

I now say it's not entirely our responsibility to act the way we should but the teachers as well.

I respect Mr Siva a lot for taking his students blog as a constructive comment so that he can improve in the way he teaches and even apologising to the person he has hurt personally. Have you done that Mr Dinesh?
HAve you looked yourself in the mirror and said you have alot of room for improvement?

I am not slandering you in any form and if i do sound like it i apologise but you are not perfect as a teacher as well and mind you, you are not really respected in the school.
It is proven by this morning's announcement from Ms Wong that Mr Siva and You will be telecasted on Tv.

When she said your name there was an en masse of students whining in disgust.
Ever thought why?

So now i say you have room for improvement and please don't take this the wrong way but you are not that great. There are times where you have not acted the way you should and have not apologised to the students you have hurt. Is'nt that called pride?

You say we should respect the teachers but respect is a two way thing and not a one way thing.
You have to gain it and not demand for it.
Yes, you have the respect of your sec 4 councillors but that is just a small percentage of the school like what 1% of the school.

I now say its not entirely a bloggers fault.

Now lets go to my next point Social responsibility.

My fellow peers we are guilty of this. I know we do things on impulse but it is theoretcially proven that this is a common pattern in teenagers. Instead of slandering , we could write a constructive comment and now critsize on how the teacher's dress etc etc.
I make fun of how the teachers dress sometimes but i know never to do that on a world wide public web.

Yes there are teachers that are highly notorious in school and yes we do not like them but that does not give us the write something very offensive.

I now say that this issue is a two way thing and it is not the problem with the school or the teachers or the students but in the way we behave socially and the way we treat one another.

I stand firmly on my saying that It takes two hands to clap.

If teachers respect the students the students will respect the teachers as well and vice versa.

I end with this.
We should have blogs, there should be no guidelines or rules that say we cant talk about teachers or the school but we should be aware to give constructive comments and not insults.
There is a fine line between freedom of speech and social responsibility.
